This leaf produces a mellow, aromatic variety of Oolong. And this spring's Ruan Zhe resembles the qualities of an Oriental Beauty Oolong, yet mellower and more fruity, reminiscent of apricots . The aroma of the leaves while brewing is like a cross between Oriental Beauty and Dong Ding- really pungent. It's still our current favorite of the Thailand selections.
NOTE: The above tea selection is named according to the varieties or strains of tea plants from which it is produced, thus we have chosen to use the Chinese pinyin terms in conjunction with the loose English translations.
