Spring Clearance is happening now!
After going on the first spring tea shopping spree last weekend, we realize that it is time to clear out the cupboards of winter stock to make room for this year’s spring tea. There isn’t much winter tea left, but we intend to move it all in preparation for the new spring harvest (with the exception of some secret stock to be kept for the making of “aged tea”).
Consequently, all of our current stock is being offered at a 25% discount. So if there was a selection that you particularly enjoyed from last winter’s harvest, you might be able to get the last of it at a great price. There is very little left of a couple selections though, so the offer is fleeting.
The spring harvest of Classic Dong Ding is tasting very nice, as the first package was opened on Monday morning after Sunday afternoon’s motorcycle run to Deer Valley. The weather leading up to the beginning of spring harvest has been relatively cool and dry, which is ideal for a stable harvest. The spring tea that we are first getting to know has been slow-roasted for more than 30 hours. The subtlety and richness that results is what gives Dong Ding tea its renown. Our second spring tea to be sampled will be a Phoenix Mountain Dong Ding made by a repeated prize winner of the Lugu Farmers’ Association tea competition that is comprised of over 5,000 entries in spring, and has lucrative rewards for top teas. More to tell about this soon…
Without further ado, we invite you to click on our site to see what kinds of deals are going on. And before long, we will be greeting you with the fruits of the new spring harvest. Winter tea is more substantial in flavor – richer, heartier, but less fragrant and fresh than spring tea. They both have their attributes. I have learned the differences by having both to brew alternately in comparison. Perhaps you would like to take advantage of this opportunity to do the same. If so, here you go: www.blackdragonteas.com
